Jeroen Van Hapert

Jeroen van Hapert is a dynamic leader with over 15 years of experience in high-tech industries, specializing in semiconductor, photovoltaic, and energy storage. Holding a PhD in Physics from Utrecht University, Jeroen has developed a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies and their real-world applications.

Throughout his career, Jeroen has held pivotal roles in renowned companies. At ASM, a leading semiconductor equipment supplier, he played a key role in the development of Rapid Thermal Annealing systems and Epitaxial Layer Deposition furnaces. At Tempress Systems BV he successfully initiated a new product line for solar cell manufacturing equipment.

As an Energy Storage Specialist, Jeroen focuses on Li-ion BESS technologies and its applications. Since 2021, he has led the growth of the Dutch-based storage supplier Ateps, culminating in its integration into Exide Technologies. Today, Jeroen serves as the Managing Director of Exide’s BESS segment, CES Systems, overseeing the development, production, and installation of systems that optimize energy self-consumption, utility support, energy trading, and off-grid solutions.
