Dr. Kason Bala

Dr Kason Bala has over 25 years client and service provider experience in both Nuclear Defence and the Nuclear Energy markets, within the UK and internationally. He has worked in numerous senior positions holding delivery, P&L and business development roles for companies such as the UK Ministry of Defence, Amec NNC, Tetra Tech Europe, Assystem and more recently Framatome. Earlier in his career, Dr Bala achieved a PhD sponsored by the UK MoD at University College London, where he optimized industrial chemical manufacturing processes for the UK MoD and US DoE.

Kason Bala is currently working for Framatome Ltd as their Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing strategy and commercial development activities across the UK Energy and Defence markets.  Passionate about people development, inclusion and equity, he is the strategic advisor and NED mentor to Women in Nuclear UK, supports the Anglo-French Women in Nuclear Early Careers Mentoring Programme, and other protected characteristics within the sector.
