What distributed energy technologies do you specialise in? Please explain how the technology works and what are the benefits of it?
Operating from the UK, Ylem Energy is an international organisation with more than 25 years’ experience in building, owning and operating smart generation systems. Ylem specialises in delivering state-of-the-art generation and energy storage systems including gas engines, solar and battery energy storage, which fully integrate with the sites they serve helping clients on their way to net zero.
Designed to reduce customers’ energy costs, increase resilience and support their net zero strategy and targets, Ylem offers fully funded solutions with no CAPEX and no additional costs.
Through its comprehensive range of O&M packages, Ylem is able to optimise existing assets and improve the reliability of existing generation systems, saving its customers money and minimising downtime.
With low carbon emission targets set for 2050 by the UK government, what is your company doing to contribute towards this?
Ylem is funding onsite generation systems to give its customers CAPEX free access to innovative technology which will help them on the path towards net zero. This includes systems that can either part or fully-operate on hydrogen fuel, supporting the UK’s legally binding targets for tackling climate change and decarbonisation. In addition, Ylem supports its customers on all aspects of the journey towards net zero, including carbon offsetting, green gas and hydrogen enablement.
If attendees should know one thing about your company and experience, what would it be?
Ylem Energy has more than 30 years’ experience funding, developing and operating green energy projects in Europe, Africa and the Americas. With a vast amount of technical expertise in a variety of sectors including food and drink, plastics, retail, manufacturing and automotive, Ylem can deliver bespoke solutions for all of its customers, saving them money, improving resilience and helping them achieve long-term low carbon aspirations.
What will you be showcasing at your stand at The Distributed Energy Show?
Ylem’s energy experts will be on hand to discuss onsite generation and storage solutions which guarantee savings for at least 10 years, improve resilience and will put you on the path to net zero. We will explain how gas generation, storage and renewables solutions can potentially interlink and our Operation and Maintenance experts will be available to discuss current challenges with existing assets, offering advice to ensure they are used more effectively.

Ylem Energy is particularly interested in meeting businesses and large energy users who spend £500k or more per year on energy at any one site.
