Exhibitor Spotlight: Vital Energi

What distributed energy technologies do you specialise in?

We specialise in supporting our clients with their decarbonisation plans through the use of renewable energy generation, energy conservation and energy distribution technologies.

We offer a range of services from concept design through to long-term asset management and have experience in delivering numerous low carbon technologies, including over 30 biomass projects, 26 solar projects, 25 heat pump projects, 29 large-scale energy conservation projects and have installed over 195,000m of district heating pipe in the last 4 years.

With low carbon emission targets set for 2050 by the UK government, what is your company doing to contribute towards this?

We create solutions that reduce carbon emissions and maximise energy savings for our clients.  We are extremely proud to have delivered projects which to date will reduce our client’s carbon emissions by more than 1 million tonnes.

We offer strategic multi technology solutions, modelling the technical solution based on the best carbon and energy savings for our clients’, ensuring carbon reduction targets are met now and in the long term.

If attendees should know one thing about your company and experience, what would it be?

We partner with clients to help them on their journey to net zero. Our entire company is geared towards collaborating with clients to help them meet their specific ambitions, be that decarbonisation, financial savings or working with local authorities and housing associations to combat fuel poverty. The award-winning Queens Quay Heat Network project and the city-wide Leeds PIPES scheme are great examples of this, along with the range of Re:fit and Non Domestic Energy Efficiency projects we have successfully undertaken.

What has been your organisation’s biggest achievement in date?

The renewable energy and heat network market is ever evolving, and we’re proud to have remained on the cutting edge for over 20 years now. However, our biggest achievement is the development of our experienced and highly-qualified workforce, which is now well placed to support the future of decarbonisation.

To maintain continued growth of skills and capabilities we have invested in a state-of-the-art £2m Training Academy and recruited 12 new apprentices this year to our bespoke apprenticeship programme.
