Exhibitor Spotlight- Vattenfall
The Distributed Energy Show are delighted to welcome Vattenfall to exhibit with us at the 2024 show. Read on to find out more about the company and what you can expect to see on their stand in their exhibitor spotlight answers….
What products/services/technologies does your company specialise in?
Vattenfall IDNO is an Independent Distribution Network Operator. We connect business and renewable energy projects to the electricity grid more quickly and efficiently than your local DNO, and pay business owners or developers an Asset Adoption Value (AAV) to help reduce the total capital cost of designing and building new power networks.
Please explain the benefits of the technology and how it could help a business looking to improve their energy solutions?
IDNO Asset Adoption Values are not insignificant, and can amount to several hundred thousand pounds depending on the technical scope, number of connections, and the metering type associated with the new network. In some cases, an AAV can pay for a new grid connection itself.
What will you be showcasing at your stand at The Distributed Energy Show?
Vattenfall will be showcasing how IDNOs can save developers time and money when securing new and upgraded grid connections, via Asset Adoption Value payments, capacity reservation and flexible ramping rates. We will also be launching our new Grid Connections Management service, which provides expert consultancy to guide developers through the grid connection process and accelerate connections to the UK grid.
Who are you hoping to meet at The Distributed Energy Show?
Commercial and industrial developers – and solar and BESS developers that need new grid connections.
If you could sum up your company in three words, what would they be?
Better value grid connections.
