Responsible for facilitating the growth and participation of the Flexibility Market within SPEN.

I’m excited to be part of the transition that’s going on right now in the industry and in particular the change in SPEN moving from being a Network Operator to System Operator and being proactive in a growing flexibility market.

I have worked in the Energy industry for over 16 years spending my time previously at ScottishPower. I have experience in Risk, Finance and more recently worked within the Energy Management function. I sat within the Operational Trading Desk which included optimisation and route to market for new and existing assets such as onshore and offshore wind, focusing on Balancing and Ancillary markets. In recent years I was responsible for optimising a battery at Whitelee WF.

Interests have turned more to Flexibility Markets in recent years, working alongside the Retail Customer business to help deliver the Demand Flexibility product for NG ESO.
